Kerry Hudson, award-winning novelist (Tony Hogan Bought Me An Ice-Cream Float Before He Stole My Ma), delivers a workshop on writing non-fiction. In her most recent book Lowborn, Kerry journeys through her own childhood poverty, exploring what it means to be poor in Britain today. Free to attend, registration required.

May Code Club: Twine Mystery Games – storytelling with code

Code Club's May session is ideal for kids aged 8–12 years – especially ones who’ve never done any programming before.
They will be shown all the basics in the first hour, then after a short break, we’ll let them experiment with what they’ve learned, and build something amazing, either individually, or as part of a team.

Join local author and storyteller Jude Lennon for an interactive storytelling session and book reading. As Little Lamb Tales, Jude and her mascot Lamby will encourage children and adults to join in with a range of interactive stories including traditional tales, folk lore, well loved stories and more. Jude will also be reading some of her self-penned books to everyone.
