Back to Black traces the history of Black radical politics born out of resistance to slavery and colonialism, from Marcus Garvey, Angela Davis, the Black Panthers to the Black Lives Matter activists of today. Author and educator Kehinde Andrews, one of the leading Black political voices in Britain, is associate professor in sociology at Birmingham City University, a regular writer for the Guardian, editor of the series ‘Blackness in Britain’, has appeared on BBC Newsnight, Russell Brand’s Under the Skin podcast, BBC Viewsnight, Guardian Online and TED Talks.
